Desaware, Inc. Announces the Addition of Native .NET Subclasser, New Hook Types and Support Visual Studio 1.1 In Its Newest Release of SpyWorks Professional for the Microsoft .NET Platform

Campbell, CA, - December, 2003 -- Desaware, Inc. today announced the addition of the following features to the latest version of SpyWorks Professional: a native .NET subclasser and windows hook component, three new hook types and support for Visual Studio .NET 1.0 and 1.1.

The three new hook types are:
  • Low Level Keyboard hook which allows developers to detect system key combinations that the "standard" Keyboard hook cannot detect.
  • Low Level Mouse hook which allows developers to detect the mouse for the entire system This hook provides greater functionality than the standard Mouse hook.
  • Foreground Idle hook which detects when an application's thread is about to enter the idle state and can thus be used to signal the start of a low priority background operation.
In addition, SpyWorks Professional, version 7.1 provides support for both Visual Studio .NET 1.0 and 1.1.

SpyWorks Professional which was one of the first component products released for Visual Studio .NET features .NET support for keyboard hooks, window hooks and subclassing (including cross-task subclassing) with examples in both Visual Basic .NET and C#, Dynamic Export Technology, debugging tools and more. The purpose of SpyWorks is to expose low level functions of Visual Studio.
